The Glass House
Martin Parr once said that ‘A family album is a form of propaganda.’ We bring out the best image of ourselves with these albums; the holiday photos are always fun, everybody smiles on their birthday photos and our parents are still happy and in love when they pose for their wedding portraits.

The Glass House explores the world behind the smiling family photos. It is a combination of the poet’s photography and her family’s archive; pictures taken by her father and grandfather. In this project the poet looks for the photos that did not survive the family album cut and together with the images of her relatives she shares her version of a truth. This project was part of the poet’s graduation project at the Royal Academy of Arts.
